GAYBOND, a plasticised hot-pour Sulpher base cement has found wide use in industry for jointing acid proof bricks in lining reaction vessels, sumps, pickling tank, construction of industrial floor and storage tanks, GAYBOND is especially adoptable for maintenance work, It is quickly installed and ready to use for service within 5 minutes after the last joint is poured. |

| CHEMICAL PROPERTIES |
- GAYBOND is inter to all inorganic acids except hydrofluoric acid and some highly oxidizing acids.
- GAYBOND is inert to mild alkaline solutions at room temperature. GAYBOND is recommended for most organic acids, fats, greases and oils.
- GAYBOND is not recommended for such solvents that dissolves.
Pour melted GAYBOND into prepared joints between acid proof bricks it is ready for service within five minutes after the last joint is poured. |
| PREPARATION |
- Break up GAYBOND ingots.
- Place the GAYBOND pieces in dry M.S. iron kettle.
- Melt over slow fire : stir occasionally with iron rod.
- Recommended pouring temperature is from 220 - 290 °F.

| CAUTION |
- Use dry and clean cast iron kettle.
- If GAYBOND ignites, due to overheating remove source of heat and cover lid.
- If GAYBOND burns for long time, discard the chart.
- If molten GAYBOND foams (due to trapped air), continue heating and stirring until smooth liquid remains.

| APPLICATIONS |
- Use dry and clean acid proof bricks or tiles.
- Space the bricks or tiles to proper joint size. (1/4 inch) using GAYBOND chips.
- The joints are poured full with GAYBOND.
- After initial shrinkage, pour more GAYBOND in order to form a flush joint.
